WITNESSES are being sought to a collision in which a teenage girl was seriously injured.
The pedestrian suffered a broken leg and arm injuries after being hit by a silver Renault Megane just before 7.20am today, Friday.
The incident occurred on a busy Mort Lane in Tyldesley, close to the junction with Heathfield Drive.
Paramedics found the girl lying on the ground next to the car.
She was taken to Salford Royal Hospital for treatment.
Traffic officers took to Twitter to appeal for any motorists who saw the collision to get in touch.
They said: "We attended a serious injury collision on Mort Lane between Tyldesley and Little Hulton.
"Traffic was heavy when the 17-year-old female was struck by a car.
"There must be witnesses."
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said the driver of the car stopped at the scene and there have been no arrests.
