TWO passengers were taken to hospital on Tuesday morning after one of the guided busway's Vantage vehicles collided with a car.
The crash occurred at around 9.30am on the East Lancashire Road in Swinton, not on the guided track that connects Leigh to Manchester.
Adrian Worsfold, director of operations at bus operators First Manchester, said: "We can confirm that on Tuesday one of our Vantage V2 services was involved in a road traffic collision where a car intending to turn left into Moorside High School on the East Lancashire Road failed to safely move into the correct lane to make the turning, resulting in a collision with our vehicle.
"We are thankful that there were no major injuries to customers, staff or the driver of the other vehicle involved, but we can confirm that an ambulance attended the scene and two customers were taken to the local hospital.”
