A MAN has been given a community order after pleading guilty to assault and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause his victim harassment, alarm or distress.
Anthony Wilkinson, of Siddow Common, Leigh, admitted the two charges when he appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court on Friday, seven days after committing the crimes.
The 32-year-old has to adhere to a rehabilitation activity requirement and a restraining order.
He was also fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
