A TEENAGER from Leigh has admitted unlawfully taking a car which crashed into five stationary vehicles and a building after being driven dangerously.

Jason Liptrot, of Glamis Close, Higher Folds, also pleaded guilty to refusing to give a breath test and driving the car without insurance on Sunday when he appeared before Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court the following day.

The 18-year-old also admitted entering a property in Leigh with intent to steal on the same day. He was jointly charged with Stefan O’Sullivan, of Little Pasture, Leigh, for that offence, who too pleaded guilty.

O’Sullivan, 22, also admitted allowing himself to be driven in the car knowing it had been taken without consent.

They were both committed to Bolton Crown Court for sentencing on March 27.
