POLICE are warning residents about a 'bogus window cleaner' who is fraudulently collecting cash.
The man is believed to be targeting elderly and vulnerable people in Atherton, asking money for windows he has not cleaned.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "We are aware of a bogus window cleaner currently active and doing the rounds in the Atherton area collecting money.
"He has recently visited Bolton Road, Millers Lane and Leigh Road and appears to be targeting the elderly and vulnerable.
"Positive lines of enquiry have been attained and they are being dealt with by Atherton patrols to identify the offender."
Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
