PEOPLE with arthritis are invited to attend a meeting at the youth centre next to Kingsleigh Methodist Church in Leigh on Wednesday.

The monthly meeting of the Leigh Arthritis Care Support Group will be held from 1.30pm to 4pm.

Held on the third Wednesday of every month, the meetings are for loved ones and carers as well as people suffering from the condition.

Those in attendance can receive support and information from nationwide charity Arthritis Care.

Wednesday's meeting will be attended by a representative from Dogs for Good, who will be accompanied by a puppy and will give a talk on the national charity's work to help people with disabilities.

Its assistance dogs support adults and children with a range of disabilities as well as youngsters with autism.

They can even help people with emptying the mashing machine and undressing.
