A PARADE of 200 people celebrated St George's Day on Sunday.
The Atherton parade, which was led by a fire engine, started at St George's C and E School from 12pm before passing round the Hag Fold estate and finishing at the Dorset Road Community Centre where a fair took place.
Children and parents from St George's C and E School and Meadowbank Primary School both attended the event along with forces veterans and Belong Atherton care village residents.
Tyldesley Brass Band played at the event with Wigan and Leigh Housing sponsoring the event.
