A NATURE trip and a presentation have been organised by a birdwatching group.
Leigh Ornithological Society (LOS) is inviting residents to its trip to Blacktoft Sands RSPB reserve and North Cave Wetlands on Sunday.
People wishing to attend the trip should meet at Doctors Nook Car Park opposite Leigh Library at 7am, wear suitable clothing and bring food and refreshments.
There may be a small charge for non-RSPB members at Blacktoft Sands and car sharing is available.
You do not need to be an experienced birdwatcher to attend.
The following Friday, May 12, the society will host a presentation entitled Shropshire’s Magnificent Peregrines in the Derby Room of Leigh Library from 7.15pm.
Presented by Shropshire birder Jim Almond, it will focus on the peregrine falcon.
There will also be an overview of other aerial predators you may see when visiting Shropshire and advice on recognising different species.
Entry is free but a small donation from non-members would be gratefully accepted.
To book your place on the day trip contact LOS secretary Angela Pike on 07816 178582.
