SHOPPERS can enjoy discount offers from traders and face painting and have the opportunity to win Leigh Centurions family tickets as part of a special fortnight which shines a spotlight on local markets.
Leigh Market at Spinning Gate Shopping Centre is taking part in Love Your Local Market Fortnight, which has started today, Wednesday.
Visitors will find a pop-up craft market there and homes around the Leigh area will be receiving discount coupons through their doors and the chance to win a family ticket to watch a Leigh Centurions match.
Traders are urging residents who do not go to the market to call in over the next fortnight to see what’s on offer.
Glenn Furnival, who runs the Fish Man of Leigh stall at the market, said: “We are proud to support Love Your Local Market and are always keen to welcome new customers to the market.
“If you have not been before come down to the market and take a look at what we have to offer.”
