A WOMAN has been jailed for three months after admitting directing racial abuse towards a police officer and shoppers in a busy supermarket.
Karen O’Malley, of Cecil Street, Leigh, committed the offence in the town on May 15.
The 48-year-old has previous convictions for similar offences involving alcohol-fuelled behaviour.
She appeared before Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
On top of the prison sentence she was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.
Donna Warburton, of Severn Street, Leigh, admitted failing to stop following a car collision in the town on February 14, not reporting the incident to police and driving without insurance.
The 33-year-old was fined £140 and ordered to pay £350 compensation, £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
She also had her driving licence endorsed by eight points.
Cameron McNee, of Carr Common Road, Hindley Green, faces a trial at Bolton Crown Court scheduled for July 12.
The 32-year-old is accused of intentionally supplying a psychoactive substance, 5F-MDMB-PINACA, to another person in Wigan on November 19 and being caught in possession of a quantity of ketamine and cannabis.
