A PRIMARY school is celebrating after winning two Atherton and Tyldesley Sports Association events in five days.
St George’s Central CE Primary School in Tyldesley saw off competition from 11 other schools to win a football tournament at Fred Longworth High School on Monday.
Last Wednesday St George’s pupils also prevailed in a five-event athletics competition at Leigh Harriers and Athletic Club, overcoming four other schools.
St Michael’s CE Primary School were the runners up in the athletics event.
St George’s Central CE Primary School defeated St Ambrose Barlow Catholic Primary School 3-1 in the football final.
