A HEAVILY pregnant woman celebrating her first wedding anniversary has been left heartbroken after car thieves stole the only copies of the DVD of her big day.

Nicola Partington, who is 33 weeks pregnant, had them in her black BMW as she had arranged to take them to her parents’ home so they could watch the footage for the first time.

The car was stolen from outside her Tyldesley home at 10.50pm on Thursday and the 31-year-old is pleading for the thieves to do the decent thing and return the precious and irreplaceable DVDs.

Nicola, of Crawford Avenue, said: “I am heartbroken the DVD copies have been taken because they cannot be replaced and unless I get them back I will never be able to watch my wedding again.

“I have contacted the company I got the DVDs off and have been told all copies get deleted after 12 weeks of the wedding date.

“I have not stopped crying since they were stolen and I have not been able to sleep.

“It has left me feeling shocked, upset and paranoid.

“This is the last thing I need with me being heavily pregnant.”

The legal secretary and her husband Leon, who got married last June 18, were both at home when the thieves struck.

Nicola was in bed and Leon was watching television downstairs when he heard one of the car’s doors being slammed shut.

The 32-year-old ran outside but was unable to stop the thieves from speeding away in the car, which also contained a Moses basket bought that day for their unborn child.

Nicola said: “The DVDs were in the car because I was planning to go round to my mum and dad’s to watch it with them as they have not seen it yet.

“We can accept that the car is gone but I still have some hope that I can get the DVDs back.”

Nicola and Leon, who have a six-year-old son called Leo, believe the thieves managed to remotely access the locking system in the car to gain entry.

“In order to gain a signal Leon and I think someone would have had to watch me locking the car,” Nicole said.

“It is scary this happened just outside my house and I cannot believe someone could do it.

“I have told Leo the car is in the garage at the moment because it would frighten him too much if I told him what really happened.”

Leon believes he saw two men in the vehicle as it sped away but was unable to get a clear view of them to give police descriptions.

Anyone with information about the car theft should contact Greater Manchester Police on 101, quoting reference 159459N/17.
