HOMES in a large-scale housing development being built in Golborne will be available to buy this summer.

The 453-home Rothwells Farm development will offer a variety of one to four-bedroom properties, including bungalows, apartments and mews, semi-detached and detached houses.

It is opening for visitors to speak to Taylor Wimpey sales staff and buy homes off-plan in the coming weeks, but the development is expected to take several years to complete.

It will feature an entrance park, two landscaped village greens and public open space.

Developer Taylor Wimpey says it will create 133 temporary construction jobs and has vowed to invest approximately £3 million into the community, including towards the improvement of education and highways.

Show homes are expected to be built and open to the public by the end of the year.

Chloe Dunn, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey Manchester, said: “Our plans for Rothwells Farm have already generated a lot of interest, with more than 650 people already registering their interest in our new homes.

“As we have such a wide variety of different styles and sizes available, there will be something to suit buyers at all levels of the property ladder.”

Taylor Wimpey says the development will offer excellent transport links and a range of amenities, including some of the region’s best schools, a supermarket, GP surgery, dentist and pharmacy all within a kilometre of the site to the north of Lowton Road.

Chloe added: “If you are interested in the new homes at Rothwells Farm register your interest via our website now for regular updates.”
