A DEFIBRILLATOR will be fitted to the outside wall of Dorset Road Community Centre following a £500 donation from the Atherton Library Support Group.
The life-saving equipment in Atherton will be permanently available for the whole community to use.
The Deal for Communities Investment Fund, Brighter Borough funding from Atherton councillors and McColl's convenience store on Car Bank Street also contributed to the cost of the defibrillator.
It has a keypad to contact emergency services and get the code to open the box in the event of someone going into cardiac arrest.
