TURNPIKE Community Theatre’s production of Willy Russell's Blood Brothers was performed in front of three full houses last week.

The sell-out shows at the Turnpike Gallery in Leigh were performed on Thursday to Saturday.

A spokesman for the amateur dramatics group said: “This year has seen Turnpike add another production to its playbill and it proved to be very popular, attracting new audiences and strengthening the group's following.

“After each show audience members took to social media to give five-star ratings and recommendations for members of the community to buy what spare seats were left in order to watch the show.”

One audience member said: “I really enjoyed the show.

“It is a difficult thing to make an audience laugh one moment and then have them still and quiet the next.

“Great venue too. I am looking forward to coming again.”

The group is now preparing for its Dick Whittington pantomime, which will be performed at the Turnpike Gallery from Tuesday, November 28, to Saturday, December 2.

Tickets are selling quickly.
