AN appeal has been launched to find a missing 12-year-old girl.
Aaliyah Seerey was last seen at her home in Leigh at 10.30pm yesterday and her family and the police are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.
She is Asian, around 5ft 3in, of medium build and has dark brown hair but it is not known what she is wearing.
Detective inspector Matt Bailey-Smith, from Greater Manchester Police's Wigan borough division, said: “It is extremely concerning that we have not been able to get in touch with or find Aaliyah since she left home late last night.
“We are following all possible lines of enquiry that will lead us to her but need your help so we can make sure she safely returns home.”
Aaliyah was reporting missing by her family at 6.30am today.
Her family have not heard from her since.
Anyone who sees Aaliyah or has information about her whereabouts should contact police on 101, quoting reference number 0343 of September 22. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
