THE Rugby Football League have today released the key dates in the sport's calendar – the Betfred Super League Grand Final, the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup final and Dacia Magic Weekend.
And for Saints and their supporters sights will be fixed for starters on a return to Wembley having not been to the national stadium since they won a third Challenge Cup in a row in 2008.
That is the longest break from Wembley Saints have experienced since World War II, so Saturday, August 25 will be a date that will loom large once the tournament kicks off.
The Betfred Super League Grand Final will take place at Old Trafford on Saturday, October 13 – and that is likely to mean that the competition starts a week later, possibly due to the impact of the World Cup.
Dacia Magic Weekend will also return to St James Park, Newcastle for a fourth year running.
This will take place on May 19-20, 2018.
