AN amateur photography club which has been running for 62 years has found a new home after being asked to leave its previous base.
Leigh and District Camera Club has relocated to The Ale House pub on Henrietta Street after moving from the 180 Club on Railway Road where it had been set up for two years.
The group was based at Ullswater Road for 60 years before moving in 2015.
Club secretary Peter Eaton, who has been a member for 10 years, said: “We are over the moon to find this new home and hope we can stay here for many years to come.
“It appears to be an ideal home for us.
“The owner of The Ale House, Geoff Bond, has been very helpful and co-operative in satisfying our needs.”
The club, who meet weekly on Thursdays from 7.30pm to around 10pm, held its first meeting at its new home.
