TWO men accused of trying to blow up cash machines outside a Spar in Risley are due to appear at Warrington Magistrates' Court today.
David Culshaw, 48, and Michael Culshaw, 50, were arrested on October 30 at their homes in Leigh.
They are charged with attempted theft from an automatic machine as well as arson and causing an explosion likely to endanger life and damage property.
The charges relate to an incident in the early hours of October 16.
Firefighters and police were called to the scene at around 4.40am after the store alarm went off.
The suspects did not get away with any money and luckily nobody was reported hurt at the scene.
Crews spent around three hours tackling the flames.
The pair have been remanded in custody.
