A TRANSPORT company is offering free bus travel to veterans and serving military in Greater Manchester on Remembrance Sunday.
Stagecoach, which will be placing a poppy on each of its 750 buses in the region, will offer free tickets to armed forces personnel carrying a military ID card and to ex-servicemen and women wearing a veteran's badge.
The company will be making donations to the Royal British Legion as part of the annual campaign as well.
Stagecoach Manchester managing director Elisabeth Tasker said: “Once again, we are proud to be supporting Remembrance Sunday in this way by offering free travel on our services to armed forces personnel.
"Through our support we hope we can send a clear message to our Armed Forces communities that we appreciate and recognise the commitment they have made to our country over the years.”
Stagecoach also signed the Ministry of Defence's Armed Forces Corporate Covenance this year.
