A CARE home held a special service to remember fallen heroes last Saturday.
Golborne House residents read poems on Armistice Day, with some of them relating to their own lives, before they observed traditional bugle The Last Post and sung Vera Lynn's Second World War era song When They Sound The Last All Clear.
The contributions of soldier's wives and children, who wrote letters of support during the World Wars, were also acknowledged as well as animals who were awarded Dickin medals for their bravery.
Activities co-ordinator at the Derby Road home, Elizabeth Bates, organised the service.
