A DEFIBRILLATOR has been installed at Ena Mill in Atherton following a week of fundraising by staff and shoppers.
The retail mill raised more than £1,000 through a tombola, raffles and donations.
Defibrillators increase the chances of people surviving a cardiac arrest by up to 80 per cent.
The device has been fitted on the wall between the entrance and the tills at the grade II listed building and staff have been trained how to use it.
Staff member Kay Fearnley said: “We wanted a defibrillator to give shoppers and staff complete peace of mind.”
“It might save someone’s life.”
