A MOTHER and daughter from Leigh are due to appear in court tomorrow, Wednesday, faced with two charges of causing unnecessary suffering to two dogs.

Gail Bradshaw, 64, and Nicola Bradshaw, 29, of Minehead Avenue, have a first hearing at Preston Magistrates' Court in which they will answer charges of failing to provide the necessary care and attention for the chronic and severe skin conditions of two West Highland White Terriers.

One of the charges refers to a day or dates between April 1, 2015 and September 29. 2017 with the second one alleging the defendants were at fault for the same length of time from November 29, 2016 to September 29, 2017.

The dogs are in RSPCA care while the outcome of the case is concluded.
