A QUALITY first half, followed by a gutsy second, got Tyldesley over the finishing line 26-19 against a tough and determined Sefton side.
Bongs produced some fantastic team rugby which was rewarded with two tries from Jake Beaumont, the first of which was converted by Paul Martin.
Two Martin penalties, one after a Sefton yellow card, sandwiched Sefton crossing after they took advantage of a rare misfiring Tyldesley line-out.
The second half belonged to Sefton and by the 55th minute they had crossed for two converted tries, making it a two point game.
Tyldesley, down to 14 players, defended bravely, and a timely steal by Lee Davies relieved the pressure on their try line.
The hosts regrouped and finished the stronger of the two teams.
Tyldesley head to New Brighton on February 17.
