THE singing talents of primary school pupils have been immortalised on a professionally-recorded CD.

Christ Church CE Primary School performed two concerts at Christ Church Pennington last Thursday in the afternoon and evening with parents, family members and community supporters in attendance.

It was part of the iSingPOP project, which has been organised by Christian charity The Innervation Trust which gives children the chance to learn specially-written pop songs, record their own album and perform at their church.

Reverend Alan Saunders, Vicar of Christ Church Pennington, said: “The iSingPOP team came in each day during the week to teach every child in the school a full CD worth of catchy songs with a Christian message of hope and love.

"They quickly learnt the words and actions under the expert tuition of Jess Cook from iSingPOP.

"The results were phenomenal.

"They sang brilliantly and produced a professionally recorded CD of songs.”

iSingPOP has more than 20 years of experience managing and producing music for bands and school teams including thebandwithnoname and The World Wide Message Tribe,

Head teacher at Christ Church Primary School, Janet Rigby, added: “The children have done us proud- every one of them sang their hearts out and joined in superbly with the whole project and the concerts.

"We are hugely grateful to the support of the church and the expertise of iSingPOP in creating this wonderful experience for the whole school.”
