FIREFIGHTERS tackled a flat fire in Tyldesley this morning, Monday.
Three crews were to sent to a ground floor property on Wardley Square around 2.30am and used six breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the blaze.
Two people were taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters were on the scene for around two hours.
