A DRINK driver who was more than three times over the limit has been given a suspended prison sentence.
Wendy Pritchard, of Ledgard Avenue, Leigh, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol when she appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
A breath sample collected from the 52-year-old on St Helens Road in Leigh on December 8 found that there was 121 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of her breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol.
She was given an eight-week sentence suspended for one year and ordered to pay a victim surcharge fee of £115 and court costs of £85.
The defendant was also disqualified from driving for 30 months which may be reduced by 30 weeks if she completes a course by December 9, 2019.
