A BOYBAND singer from Atherton is preparing for his group's spring tour which kicks off later this month.

Sonny Hardman, out of five-piece pop group Yes Lad, will be performing on five dates from March 28 that will coincide with the release of their new electro dance song Nada.

The band will be performing at the Manchester Club Academy on Friday, March 30 where fans will get the chance to meet the members.

Sonny said: “We are all very conscious of the fact that it is the kids who buy our tickets who are getting us where we are so we are very keen to charge them as little as possible.

"We also want to meet the fans as much as they want to meet us.”

Yes Lad, which is managed by former Take That manager Nigel Martin-Smith, are set to release their debut album this summer.

They have released two singles so far- Walk Away and Something More- and was on stage at Manchester's Christmas lights switch-on event last year.

The other four members of the band are Cian Gleeson, Joel Healey, Lewis Maxwell and Jake Donlan.
