POLICE have thanked the public for their patience after a man was found unconscious in Hindley yesterday, Saturday.

Officers were called to the scene on Lancaster Road to assist the casualty who has been taken to hospital.

A police spokesman said: “Police came across a male unconscious on Lancaster Road.

“Thank you to the public for your patience while the road had to be closed.

“The male has been taken to hospital in an ambulance and has come around.

“He appears to have fell while crossing. No alcohol involved. We wish the male a speedy recovery.”
