POLICE are urging parents to take greater responsibility for their children after a series of incidents of anti-social behaviour have been reported in Golborne.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have been alerted to criminal acts of damage or theft at shops on Heath Street recently.
A spokesman for GMP said: "We will be monitoring this situation, however, we will not tolerate criminal acts of damage or theft, and anyone identified will be dealt with accordingly.
"Parents, do you know where your children are hanging about in the evenings and weekends?
"It is all our responsibility to assist in preventing such issues."
If you have any information about the incident contact the police on 101.
