A PAST winner of hit TV show The Voice will be performing on stage at Wigan and Leigh Hospice's Ball.

Kevin Simm, who won the competition two years ago, will be singing at the DW Stadium in Wigan on Saturday, May 19 with over 200 people expected to attend for the annual event.

The 37-year-old was also part of pop group Liberty X, which had a number one single, Just A Little, and eight UK top ten songs overall.

Fundraising and lottery manager of the Hindley hospice, Maxine Armstrong, said: “Anyone who has seen The Voice UK will know what a fantastic performer Kevin is and we are absolutely thrilled that he will be singing at our Hospice Ball.

“The ball is our most glamorous evening of the year and our guests always have a lot of fun.

"Importantly, they also help us to raise money for the hospice so that we can continue providing our vital services.”

Wigan tenor Andrew Brown will also be performing on the night.

His grandma was cared for by the hospice before she died in 2012 and he held a concert last month in her memory.

Tickets for the hospice ball are priced at £50 each and includes a champagne reception, three-course meal and entertainment.
