PICTURES, poems and prayers have been sent to Westleigh Methodist Primary School in response to an appeal which was launched after a fire at the site last month.
The school received letters from pupils and their families, members of Westleigh Methodist School and residents which are set to be presented to firefighters from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS).
The work praises the firefighters for their efforts in saving the school from complete destruction after the blaze on Sunday, March 25, which was believed to have been caused by an electric fault on the solar panels of the roof.
Mobile units to accommodate pupils are currently set up at the school after classrooms in the main building were damaged in the blaze.
