A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a house fire in Leigh on Friday.
Crews from Leigh and Atherton were sent to Warrington Road at around 8.25pm as well as a technical response unit to put out the blaze.
A woman was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan.
Four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a ventilation fan was used to extinguish the blaze.
Firefighters were in attendance for around 50 minutes.
