CHILDREN from the 5th Tyldesley Cubs released pink balloons into the sky yesterday, Tuesday, one year after the Manchester Arena bomb attack.
A total of 22 balloons were set free at Tyldesley Market Square in tribute to the number of people who died at the Ariane Grande concert on May 22, 2017.
Martin Hibbert, who was only 10 metres away from the blast and suffered life-changing injuries, will be visiting the cubs next week to talk about his experience.
He recently completed the Great Manchester 10K Run in his wheelchair.
