THE opening of a care home is set to create 150 jobs
The Lakeview home, off Ena Crescent in Leigh, will open later this year with staff due to start work in June and the first residents due to arrive in July.
The Exemplar-owned facility will provide specialist nurse-led care to 30 adults with complex needs including people living with early-onset dementia, long-term mental ill-health and Huntington’s disease.
It will offer views of Fir Tree Flash through its floor-to-ceiling windows and open-air terrace.
Lakeview’s manager Jo Roughley, who has moved from Kavanagh Place in Liverpool, said “We have been overwhelmed by the positive response to the home’s opening, and by the amount of interest we have had in working with us.
“It is a really exciting time to join and we can’t wait to welcome staff and residents over the next few months.”
There will be roles in care, domestic and catering positions.
These include registered mental health and learning disability nurses.
