TWO McDonald's employees are celebrating a landmark achievement after working for the restaurant chain for 35 years.
Business manager Ann Joyce and dining area host Rita Ogden, who work at the Bradshawgate branch in Leigh, joined the company in the same week during December 1983.
Ann's first role at McDonald's was as a crew member at the age of 16 before she worked her way through the ranks from crew trainer to floor manager and part time shift manager.
She was promoted to the position of business manager in 2009.
Ann said: “I can’t believe I’ve been at McDonald’s for 35 years.
"I’ve loved my time with the company and met some fantastic people working here along the way.
"The restaurant in Leigh has a great mix of people and we really feel like a big family.”
Rita, who turns 69 this year, has no plans of retiring.
Franchisee of the Bradshawgate restaurant Lawrence Hilliker said: “I’m extremely proud of everything Ann and Rita have achieved while they have worked with us.
"Both women are a huge asset to my business and much loved by customers and crew.”
