A FOUR-piece band is set to headline the first night of a music festival today, Friday, in memory of a group and their manager who died in February 2016 while they were on tour in Sweden.
The Lottery Winners, from Leigh, will be performing at RivFest, a festival in memory of Warrington group Viola Beach who lost their lives along with their manager in a crash while they were on their way home from their first international gig.
The festival, now in its third year, was set up by Ben Dunne, dad of 19-year-old bandmate River Reeves, who died in the tragedy.
Viola Beach members Kristian Leonard, Jack Dakin, Tomas Lowe also died in the incident as well as their manager Craig Tarry.
A host of artists will be performing over the course of the two-day festival.
There will also be a free family area which will be held in venues across the Warrington Cultural Quarter area and will include a variety of stalls, crafts, activities and children's entertainment.
Funds raised will go to the River Reeves Foundation, which supports young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who are looking to follow a career in arts by offering scholarships.
The Lottery Winners, who have recently signed a deal with Warner Brothers Records, will be performing at The Parr Hall venue at 7pm tonight, Friday.
