A SCHOOL science block was evacuated yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, after concerns were raised about chemicals that were found in a storeroom.
Two fire crews were sent to Westleigh High School in Leigh at around 1pm and set up a cordon around the area.
Paramedics and police were also in attendance as a precautionary measure.
By 5pm, firefighters had passed a container on to a specialist team to deal with.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
