PLANS have been submitted to build 37 homes next to an old gas works.
An application by has been sent to Wigan Council to build the houses on land and woodland alongside the former gas works on Gloucester Street in Atherton.
The applicant is Leigh-based conpany Adactus Housing Association.
A neighbourhood consultation started yesterday, Thursday, and expires on August 12.
A decision on the development expected to be made on September 10.
