A COMMUNITY theatre is holding open auditions for people of all ages to take part in their upcoming pantomime Sleeping Beauty.

Further to the success of the acclaimed summer production of ‘The Twits’, which played to five full houses, Turnpike Community Theatre is looking for members old and new to take on the exciting roles in the magical tale of Sleeping Beauty.

Auditions are open to those aged 16 and over at the time of auditioning.

Speaking about the auditions, the group’s chairman, Neil Gredecki, said “Turnpike is a friendly bunch and we always welcome new talent and new members.

"Whether you have been a member of Turnpike for years, or a new recruit, we always welcome you to take part in the production and to audition for the range of roles on offer; whether it be a leading role or a smaller part.

"We are always keen to welcome people to our backstage crew too.”

If you think you fit the part, come along to the informal open auditions at The Turnpike, Leigh on Thursday, August 9 and Thursday, August 16 at 7.45pm.
