A CARE service company is celebrating after being rated as "outstanding" in its first ever inspection.

Right at Home North Cheshire and Leigh, which is based at Lowton Business Park, has been given the highest possible overall score by healthcare regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Right at Home, which was set up last year, provides care to around 30 clients in their own homes with services such as personal care, companionship, specialist dementia care and live-in care.

The inspection, which was carried out over three days, found the service “ensured people were at the heart of their care and support".

Inspectors said: “People and relatives we spoke with were extremely positive about the relationships they had formed with both caregivers and the service as a whole.”

The provider was ranked "outstanding" in three out of five categories; caring, responsiveness and leadership.

It scored "good" in the areas of safety and effectiveness.

Owner of Right at Home North Cheshire and Leigh Julie Houston said: “It is my aim that we deliver a local service that supports people to maintain their independence, offers rewarding job opportunities and gives back to our communities.

“Our focus is on improving the quality of life of our clients and their families and we can do that by helping to build brilliant relationships between caregivers and the individuals they support.

“We are beyond thrilled to be rated Outstanding in our first ever inspection, and I would like to personally thank our team of dedicated caregivers for their hard work and dedication.”
