TWO men got out of a car in the early hours of yesterday morning, Sunday, before smashing another vehicle with baseball bats.
As a silver Mercedes was waiting at traffic lights at Chapel Street in Leigh shortly before 1am, the duo got out of the car and started swinging their baseball bats at a black Volvo C30.
After the attack the Mercedes followed the Volvo for a short distance before crashing on the same road.
Police say the three people in the Mercedes fled the scene and further enquiries found the car was stolen.
