A MAN was assaulted by two men in Leigh town centre in the early hours of this morning, Thursday.
Police and paramedics were called to Railway Road near the post office at around 1.50am where a 25-year-old man had been attacked.
The victim was conscious and breathing but he suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital.
A cordon was put in place as officers investigated the scene.
