Derek Bentham will appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Thursday
A MAN has been charged with murder after a dad-of-one died following an assault in a pub.
Derek Bentham, 46, of Smithwood Avenue, Hindley, will appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court tomorrow, Thursday, after 45-year-old Lee Christy was assaulted at The Bear's Paw pub on Saturday.
Police were sent to the Market Street pub at 10.55pm before Mr Christy was taken to hospital in a critical condition. He died yesterday, Tuesday.
