SCOUT car racers from Lowton St Mary's came home from Saturday's Scarborough championships with a horde of trophies.
It was a fitting result for their efforts and a deserved achievement for their mentor and organising committee member Alec Hughes, who has decided to retire after involvement in 50 such races.
More than 50 Scout groups entered this year's event featuring Cubs and Scouts driving pedal cars they built themselves at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour.
Harriet Jameson came third in the Premier champion Cub final and Chris Smith won the Scout Premier final.
Cubs Jake Houghton, Sam Hardy, Oliver Reffell and Thomas Jackson were the Premier Grand Prix relay champions and Scouts Philip Graham, Matthew Quinn, Chris Smith and Matthew Jameson scooped their section's relay GP.
It wasn't all plain sailing though, for Cub Jonathon Jackson and Scout Matthew Quinn both turned their cars over on the last bend while holding first place in their races!
