POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a road accident in Golborne.
A 14-year-old boy was taken to hospital after he was involved in a collision with a car as he was leaving school on Wednesday. February 25.
The incident at about 4.10pm happened on Wigan Road, near to the mini-roundabout at the junction with Newton Road.
The boy, who was hit by a Honda Civic as he was crossing the road, was taken to Wigan Infirmary for treatment, but his condition is not believed to be serious.
Witnesses should call traffic police on 0161 856 7201.
