WITH figures showing that one in ten children could be obese by the time they start primary school, the Department of Health’s Start4Life campaign is taking to the road to help parents make healthier choices for their infants.

It will be at the Hindley Children's Centre, Mornington Road, Hindley, on Thursday, March 11 until 4pm.

Part of the nationwide Change4Life movement which launched a year ago and helps families ‘eat well, move more and live longer’.

It provides pregnant women and parents of babies up to the age of two with easy-to-follow, practical information around nutrition and activity.

The roadshow is a fun and free day for local parents and carers to visit with their babies, and chat to other parents, health professionals and support workers.

The day includes:  the chance to relax and chat with health professionals/support workers who will give support and information on breastfeeding  easy, cheap and delicious food ideas for parents and carers to try at home  ideas on simple ways to help stay active with your baby at home.

The roadshow will visit eight different locations throughout February and March.
