Lowton man suffers serious injuries in car crash

A man suffered serious injuries following a collision on Sunday afternoon in Lowton.

At 4.20pm police were called to Newton Road, following reports of an incident involving an Audi A4 car close to the junction with Norwood Avenue.

A 61-year-old man with serious injuries was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains in a critical condition.

The road was closed for a short time.
