PATIENTS at Wigan & Leigh Hospice can look forward to a happy Easter thanks to the staff at Tesco Extra in Hindley.

They donated bottles of wine, bubbly, whisky and a host of Easter Eggs showing their appreciation for the care shown to a staff member who was recently a patient at the Kildare Street, Hindley hospice.

Gaynor Fearn, Customer Service Manager at the store said, “Our new charity committee is designed to help and support our community and we’re delighted to support the Hospice.”

Delighted Hospice fundraiser Julie Dennis said: “Contrary to popular belief, the Hospice is not a miserable place. Day Hospice patients are offered wine and other ‘beverages’ with their lunch. This generous gift will make them very happy indeed!”
