Cameron Foster has raised over £10,000 since death defying fall

SEASONED fund raiser Cameron Foster is to make a second leap of faith at Old Trafford.

The 14-years-old MU fan, who has raised over £10,000 for charity since he escaped death in a ski lift fall five years ago, will take part in an abseil from the stadium’s North Stand to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The free-air abseil will give 150 daredevil fundraisers the opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of the pitch as they free-air abseil 140 feet into the Theatre of Dreams.

Keen sportsman Cameron, a Westleigh High School student, hit the fund raising trail following an amazingly speedy recovery from the 30ft fall in Italy while on a school trip.

He dislocated both ankles and broke both legs and an arm, and at the age of nine organised a sponsored walk to raise funds to help disabled children in sport.

Cameron, of Askwith Road, HIndley, is a volunteer coach with a local Sports Development Unit and coaches basketball and karate. In recognition of his charity and volunteer work he was awarded a coveted Gold Blue Peter Badge.

Cameron said: "After realising how lucky I have been, I decided to do some charity work to raise money for people less fortunate than myself. By doing this abseil I hopefully will be able to make a change to CF patients of all ages. I thought this would be another great challenge and a thrilling experience."

Participants are asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £140, which includes a £15 booking fee payable on booking.
